Pools Open!

We had a very nice 50 degree day.  Perfect day to siphon the ice rink.  These guys just can't resist a little splashing any time of year.  They all hopped into a hot shower after this adventure.

School Vacation Week ROCKS!

Monday: Dad had off.  We went snowshoeing and played games - so fun.
Tuesday: was our after Presidents day party.

We had many presidential snacks, from Broccoli Obama, Millard Bread-More, Dwight D. Eggsenhower. :)

Adley shared part of an article about the presidential oath of office.

Nathanael shared a quiz time with trivia.

We dressed Jeremiah up as President Lincoln. 

Wednesday: OK we did school in the morning.  The afternoon we went to a home school event at Quarrybrook.  We took walks in the woods to explore.  We all got to taste some sap- and some partially boiled sap, and real syrup compared to store bought.  It was fun.  We are so excited to boil at Memere's

Thursday: we had a buddy over this morning.  We spent the day barefoot with no shirts splashing in the melted snow & playing basketball.

Friday: we went to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston on the Subway with friends.  So fun.

Fun Stuff!

We had a great trip to the Museum of Science in Boston last week with friends.  They have a new chocolate exhibit.  The lighting was rough in the photo - but oh well.

Saturday morning was a beautiful warm morning for the ice rink.  We were all out there zipping around.  We were warm enough just to be wearing shirts - no coats.  It was 50 degrees today, and will be warm all week.  The rink will transform into a pond.

We LOVE pineapple.  This is our 2nd one with the fun new tool.  This pineapple made a good cup - for the delicious juice at the bottom.

Winter Snow

Now we've got some fun snow to play in!

Great Wolf Lodge

We went on an overnight at the Great Wolf Lodge water park. It was AWESOME!  We went Monday afternoon and came home Tuesday afternoon.

All three boys got these great wolf headbands.  We are still wearing them today.

The water park was amazing.  We rode so many slides, we swam in the wave pool a bunch, we rode the lazy river, and spent lots of time in the hot tub - which was indoor and outdoor.  (On Tuesday afternoon snowflakes were falling on our heads out there.)

We also got passes for the ropes course.  Check us out!  We did this Monday after dinner.

Fun 45 degree January Day!

We wanted to update our wigwam/teepee.  (Teepee size, wigwam 'finish'.)  Mom got us a bow saw.  We cut down 2 dead trees. There was lots of bark that fell off a dead tree (that's now leaning on other trees,) that we added to our home.

 We found a colony of sleeping ants we woke up in this stump. Jeremiah is investigating.  The boys are further sawing this for the house.

Mom and the boys dragged this old fence piece over for the door.  We sawed a few pieces for the door.

More Merry Christmas!

On Thursday we drove up to VT early trying to beat the big snow storm.  With Papa King and some ashes we got our car up the driveway.  We had some lunch than enjoyed the snow.  We sled and got to use our new snow shoes. We got to open presents throughout the time. We played games - and watched our new movie.  We finished our day in the hot tub.  So Great!  Friday we played in the sweet 10 inches of snow we got.  We sled a bunch - even flew down the driveway.  Friday evening Memere and Papa King took us to the Chinese Buffet.  YUM - and we got to see the HUGE fishes again; we named them.  When we got home Ma Taunte Andrea and Seth were there.   We got to play with them before bed.  New Years Eve we got to open more presents.  Then we were off to Grampies.  We sled there too.  Down the step crazy fast woods trail. AWESOME.  Then we opened more presents that night.  We cheered our Midnight at 9:00 - Imagining we're somewhere in the Atlantic ocean.  New Years Day we went sledding some more.  We played some games, and Adley watched the Patriots.  We left at 3:00ish, Adley wanted to listen to the rest of the Patriots game in the car....we did.
