February Fun!

Wow, February is flying by.  We're having a blast!!  We've been loving Upward basketball. (Mom took this photo - we'll have to get a few more from Dad's camera.)

We are doing a reading program through Pizza Hut - and get a free lunch buffet when we reach mom's tough reading goals for the month.  We had our first buffet last Thursday.  We are looking forward to many more months of free pizza. (We make it a home school outing - a few friends are in the same program.)

Saturday was Mom's birthday.  She got to watch some sweet basket ball games in the AM, we took her out to lunch to Chili's.   In the afternoon we played some games, she went out for a cross country ski.  She said she had a nice day.

Sunday we had a nice Valentines day.  We got these little soft stuffed friends, beanie boo's. We love em'.
Monday Dad had off, we did do some school in the morning.  But we enjoyed a skate on the ice, maybe our last of the season.  We love to hop on the ice anytime.  This was before Co-Op on the 12th.

Tuesday we had a Presidents Day party, with president themed snacks, Broccoli Obama, Laffy Taff-y and many more.  We did a show and tell - we brought presidential jokes.  What a fun day.

Star Wars Movie Day!!

Today we went and saw the new Star Wars movie on the big screen.  It was really good.

Christmas III & IV

What a wonderful Christmas weekend.  We went up to Memere & Papa Kings New Years Eve.  MaTaunte Andrea & Seth were already there.  We played, and ate and opened presents.  We got so many sweet things and had a BLAST.  On Friday we went sledding, ate lunch, played games, more sledding then relaxed in the hot tub. On Saturday we were off to Grampie & Nana's.  We did even more sledding, and took a walk in the woods with a horse, goat and dog.  We've never done that before.  We opened more presents and had a BLAST playing again.  After another good sleep we sled some more, made a gingerbread house, and ate it in the same afternoon.  Then it was off home.

Snow Day (Ice pelt day)

We woke up to snow on the ground today - the first snow of the season.  We went out right after breakfast at 8:00.  The it was icing out and cold enough that we couldn't even make snow balls.  So, we only stayed out for a little bit.  We were going to get a day of school in, mom was joking we don't even remember how to do a full day of school. :)  So we started school - and noticed that the ice was falling faster - maybe wetter.  So after 2 subjects - we bundled up and went out again.  We had snowball fights, and made a snowman and just fooled around for a while.  It was icing on us the whole time, but we didn't mind.

It's beginning o look a lot like Christmas - but we'll loose it all tomorrow. :(

Christmas I & II

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve.  It was a 68 degree day.  We enjoyed the company of our friends the Hornback's - now it's tradition - 2 years in a row.   Then off to church for the Christmas Eve service.  It was wonderful, we sung many carols, and heard the Bible read in many languages from the pastor & people in the congregation.  Then we went back home to enjoy some more Egg Nog and cookies, and our Advent story before bed.  Christmas morning Adley was up at 6:33 followed shortly by Dad, Nathanael was up about 6:45 followed shortly by mom, then Jeremiah in the next 5 minutes.
We opened our presents and enjoyed playing for the morning.  We drove to Grandma & Grandpa's.  The weather was still nice and spend much of the afternoon outside with our cousins the Parsons.  We got to see baby Corbin, who's only 2 months old.  We opened more presents that afternoon, and played all day with our cousins.  We had a one night sleep over and got to play even more.  Cousin Jayden and Owen came over for the second afternoon, it was wonderful to play with them.  We were in the car 7:30pm to head home.
