Snow Day (Ice pelt day)

We woke up to snow on the ground today - the first snow of the season.  We went out right after breakfast at 8:00.  The it was icing out and cold enough that we couldn't even make snow balls.  So, we only stayed out for a little bit.  We were going to get a day of school in, mom was joking we don't even remember how to do a full day of school. :)  So we started school - and noticed that the ice was falling faster - maybe wetter.  So after 2 subjects - we bundled up and went out again.  We had snowball fights, and made a snowman and just fooled around for a while.  It was icing on us the whole time, but we didn't mind.

It's beginning o look a lot like Christmas - but we'll loose it all tomorrow. :(

Christmas I & II

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve.  It was a 68 degree day.  We enjoyed the company of our friends the Hornback's - now it's tradition - 2 years in a row.   Then off to church for the Christmas Eve service.  It was wonderful, we sung many carols, and heard the Bible read in many languages from the pastor & people in the congregation.  Then we went back home to enjoy some more Egg Nog and cookies, and our Advent story before bed.  Christmas morning Adley was up at 6:33 followed shortly by Dad, Nathanael was up about 6:45 followed shortly by mom, then Jeremiah in the next 5 minutes.
We opened our presents and enjoyed playing for the morning.  We drove to Grandma & Grandpa's.  The weather was still nice and spend much of the afternoon outside with our cousins the Parsons.  We got to see baby Corbin, who's only 2 months old.  We opened more presents that afternoon, and played all day with our cousins.  We had a one night sleep over and got to play even more.  Cousin Jayden and Owen came over for the second afternoon, it was wonderful to play with them.  We were in the car 7:30pm to head home.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Wow, this Advent season has flown by, and we've done tons of things.
We had a hot dog & marshmallow campfire lunch Saturday the 12th.

We went to Mechanic Hall in Worcester MA to see a choir sing and they played on the HUGE pipe organ.

We went to the Museam of Science and saw a 4-D movie - the Polar Express.

We made cookies at Ma Taunte Andrea's on the 23rd.

Another fish!!

Yes, we have another fish in the family.  The yellow one is Strawberry Lemonade.  Kubal Jr. died last week, and poor fishy guy got so mad he started biting the back fin of Candy-corn (you can see the top of his back fin is a bit missing.)  So we got a new fish to fix his friendship problem, and so far things are working great.  Everyone is swimming and playing again.  And the new guy swims so fast - it was hard to take a good picture of him.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Friday we had our Co-Op Christmas party.  So much fun and yummy food.  On Saturday we experience the Journey to Bethlehem at a neighboring church.  We traveled the long journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the Roman census. We went with our friends.

Today we played some soccer with no shirts in the freshly put up ice rink walls.  Then we went to get a tree, hung our new wreath from Ma Taunt Lou.  It's so beautiful.

We even decorated a little tree in the front yard.

Happy Thanksgiving!

What a BLAST!  Our festivities started Wed afternoon with Grandma & Grandpa.  The Parsons came close to dinnertime.  We had Chinese food - and lots of fun.  We had a sleepover.  Thanksgiving morning we had a blast with our cousins.  We ate a lot and played a lot.  Our other cousins Jayden and Owen came over later for a sleepover as well.  So now we've got 8 cousins under one roof.
On Friday we went into Boston.  We did the Boston Common.  Took the T-to Feniulle Hall.  We saw the meeting house, and a show on the street.  Then we walked to the warf to see the ships.  Back on the T-to the Common again for McDonalds lunch on the lawn.

Then we hopped back in the cars to ride back home.  (Most of the small guys napped all the way home.)  Most of the family took off Friday evening.  We go to keep the Parsons for one more sleep over.

AWANA Grand Prix

We made a Cake & Ice Cream truck for the race.  Our cars did very well.  What an exciting night.

Fall Fest!

We took a walk in the woods, and posed for picture!

We had hot dog lunch, carved pumpkins (check out pumpkin hill!), and played all afternoon, the 11 of us.  

Now these are our pumpkins!  We went to Market Basket - the pumpkins were all mushy.  We went to Lowes and got the last 3 pumpkins - they were firm but don't even stand up on their own and have a sweet gnarly shape. (but we paid $9 for 3 - what a deal. :) )

Woah Busy Week!

Sunday we were taking a walk in the woods.  It flurried for a moment.  Monday - we tried on our snow suits, and tested them outside on a 60 degree day.  Awesome.

Wednesday we went to an AWESOME place with friends.  The Ipswich Wildlife sanctuary.  There were boardwalks, caves and gorgeous foliage.  What a super day!

Friday - we had Co-Op, then went to the farm, and got a farm tour.  We saw cows go into the milker station and get milked by machine.  We even got to pet some little cows.  Wow, cows that milk themselves. :)

Cranberry Bog!

It's harvest time - and a beautiful fall day!  Dad took today off.  We saw the cranberries being harvested at the end of our walk in the woods.

Fun trip to VT

We had a BLAST at Memere's and Papa Kings!  We brought in wood, cleaned out the garden - and had a corn stalk battle, hopped in the hot tub, cut some pumpkins, and got these sweet glasses!  We look spooky huh?

Mom and Dad took a big bike ride on the tandem bike - 30 miles of beautiful foliage.

Fun Things!

Last Thursday we had our last beach day!  So fun swimming with friends.

Sunday afternoon we went apple picking and picked a lot of apples.YUM YUM!(And Adley ate a lot of apples.  Apples are his favorite.)
Today feels like fall a lot.  45 degrees this morning- and we're at 69 degrees this afternoon.
Fall is in the air.

Adley's 9 Year Check-up

Another great check-up!  I am 54 inches high (2 inches taller than last year - 70th Percentile), and 66 lbs. (6 lbs heavier than last year - 60th percentile).  Everything checked out!

First night of AWANA!

We were SOOO excited for our first night of AWANA. Jeremiah is a 2nd year Cubbie, Nathanael is a Sparkie, and Adley is in TnT (Truth in Training.)

Woodstock Fair CT

Today we went to the Woodstock Fair in CT.  The fair Dad went to a bunch when he was a kid - it was a mile from his house.  Grandma came with us too.  Daddy showed us the ice cream stand he worked at - and told us he got to eat all the ice cream he wanted.  It was a HOT 90 degree day but we had a blast.  We started with some rides.  We had pizza for lunch.  Then to the animal barns to get out of the sun a bit.  We saw the go-cart racers do a few races.  We did a few more rides.  It was fun.  Jeremiah had a blast at the Safari Races, Nathanael and Adley loved the obstacle course.

It was a FUN day!

Camping Weekend!

What a BLAST!
We went up to Lake Elmore Thursday late afternoon.  Ethan, Isaac & Levi were already there.  We had supper with them and played all night long.  Bikes, running, swinging, balls and trucks to name a few.  Jayden and Owen came a bit later, after supper.  We had lots of flashlights to play with!  Friday morning we went for a little hike.  Back to the campsite for lunch, then off to the beach for the afternoon.  When we were all tired from the beach, back to the campsite to play.  Mom & Dad & Grandma & Grandpa went for a bike ride while we played.  Then dinner at the campsite.  We went on an ice cream hunt in Morisville VT - we ended up at the only place we could find - McDonalds. And that was great with us.
Saturday morning Mom & Dad & Grandpa hiked Mount Elmore.  We stayed at the campsite and played.  Then off to the beach before lunch.  Then as we were going back to the campsite on our bikes - Memere & Papa King & Ma Taunte Andrea & Seth were there.  We had lunch - they went kayaking.  Adley and Jeremiah went to the beach to see them after lunch.  We had a HUGE meat supper that night.  Fun to have guests with us.
Sunday morning it was time to pack up.  We went to the Stowe bike path.  It was a great path.  We had lunch in the shade.  We finished with a BIG cousin group hug.

We didn't want camping to end, it was awesome!

First Day of School!!

These boys rocked their first day of 4th Grade, 2nd Grade and Preschool.  That's our timeline strips on the back of our basement door.  We'll be filling that up all year going way back in time.  (Everything is B.C.)

Fun at Grandma's and Grandpas!

Friday we met our family at the Roger Williams Zoo - for a sweet day with our cousins!  We saw lots of animals.  It was a bit hot and sticky that day, so the splash water section at the end was fun.  We had lunch in the park there, then back to Grandma's house.  We played with all our cousins all day.  We had a sweet sleepover - all the big cousins in the living room.  Saturday we played some more.

Super Fun VT Weekends!

We had a blast going to Grampie's August 8th-9th.  We trampolined, we were knights of the Kingdom at night time - fire pit. (However these knights had wood guns...).  We camped out overnight.  We took a walk in the woods and played in the river.  Did I say we trampolined again and again and again.  We had a BLAST!!

We also had a blast going to Memere & Papa Kings August 14th-16th.  We got there and went right into the pool!   Memere had a lot of fun things to pop, and snap - balloons with lights and sweet flashlights that shine animals for bedtime.  Saturday MaTaunte Andrea came!  YEAH!!  We went to play tennis, and played on the playground.  Then into the pool to cool down.  Time for a yummy lunch - and into the pool again.  We chilled in the afternoon with games and a movie.  We went out to Chinese food - the one with the Large fishes in the tanks.  We ate a lot at the buffet!  YUM.  Sunday we went boating on Rood Pond.  Aldey is an expert kayaker.   Then back to the house to cool in the pool, have some lunch - then head home.  What a super fun few weekends!

Happy Birthday Party Adley!

We had a couple buddies over for my party.  (A few buds couldn't make it.)  We had fun.

Pizza, tree climbing, monkey cupcakes (because we climb so many trees like monkeys), in the pool and water guns and water balloons.  We finished with a Minion Pinata.  We beat the heck out of it...and got some great treats!
