Fruitlands Museam

What a fun visit to the Fruitland Museum.  We are studying Native Americans in school, so we enjoyed the Native American section of this Museum -as well as the Hudson River Artist painting room, and the Shakers Museum.  There was a sweet hike around as well.  We accidentally did more hike than we wanted too, we never found the blue trail, but we all made it out OK.

McAulliffe Shepard Museum

Look at the three of us in Infrared!!  We had a super trip to the space museum.  We tried to land space shuttles and moon landers.  Adley was the only one to even get them to the landing site, and he crashed every time.  We saw a sweet space movie in the 'observatory' movie room, (round screen up above your head.).  We saw all the fun space stuff, and they had a new rain forest exhibit.  We saw an animal show and got to pet a real Iguana.  We went to the 'observatory', but we couldn't view the sun because it was too cloudy when we were there.  We finished the trip with the free donkey rides outside.
Super fun day!!

WOW, look what these boys built!

Just a fun afternoon in the backyard.  And we boys built our fort with no help from mom.
She says we are talented builders.

Lowell Boot Mills

Adley's next National Park Jr. Ranger Badge.  We went to the Lowell Boot Mills - start of the Industrial Revolution in the United States, we learned a lot!!  And had lots of fun with our friends.

Christopher Columbus

Our 3 sailing vessels the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria, set sail from Spain to America.  We 'blew' them since they didn't have motors back then.  Of course the boys wanted to know if one of the ships sank - yep one did off the coast of the new world.  So one of the ships when under, and the rest were visited by a tempest you've never seen, the ships were ripped to shreds, every Lego guy for himself.

First Day of Co-Op

Today was our first day of Home school Co-Op.  Our bags are packed and we're ready for fun.  We  had a great day today.  Jeremiah didn't really want to go to his class, but he had a great time all morning.  Nathanael loved everything, he learned about his months - and underwater creatures.  Adley is excited about his 'Space' class - he came home with a binder he had to finish taping the items on, and he did it first thing.  His missions class was fun too, he got to drink a drink he liked from Columbia.  They all have a gym class too, and they see each other in the gym, but they have different groups.

(So we can look like normal kids with back packs one day a week. :) )

Camping Hammonasset

What a super great camping weekend - as Daddy says "better than last year"!  We arrived camping Friday for lunch time, we got our tent up - had some lunch, and explored on bikes with Uncle Ben and cousin Ethan.  We went to the campground playground.  Fun time.  Then back to the campsite, and we got dressed to ride our bikes to the beach.  We had a super fun time swimming in the ocean.  It was nice a warm. (We were swimming in the sound.)  Then we BBQ'd that night - had S'mores and lots of fun.  We played Corn Hole - a bean bag toss game that Uncle Daren & Hallie brought.  Saturday morning we had a super fun big bike ride on the trails by the beach and the little bike path in the woods.  More time at the playground, then back to the beach again that afternoon.  Sunday was looking a bit cloudy, but we got a nice bike ride in before we had to pack up to go home.  What a fun fun trip.
