First Day of High School

 Here we go!  This Freshman is ready for his day.

(It's very serious. :) )

Jeremiah is the same height as Dave. 

Cape Camping weekend

 We drove to the Cape Thursday afternoon, got our tents set up, then off to a restaurant for dinner.  We enjoyed their big pan pizzas 

We enjoyed campfires that night.

On Friday we drove up the 'arm' of the Cape and visited the Cape Cod National Seashore - Salt Pond visitor center then the Province Lands visitor center with great views of the sand bluffs.

Then we ate our packed lunch.  We took a trolley through Providence Town and walked the causeway to the top of the arm of Cape Cod.

                                        

Here was the Pilgrims first landing spot in the Americas before they settled in Plymouth Ma.

The next day we enjoyed the bay side beach, than relaxing in the campground that afternoon.  The tide got low around 4:00 so the guys went to play football on all the low tide beach.  

 After dinner we went to the ocean side.  Wow, the waves were intense.  A hurricane had just passed by a few days ago.

                                       

Then we enjoyed another campfire night at the campground.   Packed up and headed home Sunday.

NH Friends Camping/Cabin

 What a JOY to enjoy friends with 3 church families at a rustic cabin in Warren NH - we tented - the other families could sleep in the cabin.

We drove up Thursday evening and enjoyed dinner together.  With campfire smores and So many stars in the night sky.

On Friday we went to a river with cool jumping spots

 - a little tubing and just exploring on the rocks. We were there most of the day.  That evening dinner and more campfire fun.

On Saturday we enjoyed a hike to a waterfall (trickle in the fall. :) )

Then to another river spot to cool down and jump off rocks. The rocks were carved so cool from the rushing waters. Beautiful.

We finished with a sweet ice cream stop then headed home.

Wonderful time!

VT FUN

 What a sweet quick trip to VT to Memere and Papa King's pool on a toasty summer day.

Nathanael, Jeremiah and I enjoyed pool time, maple creamies at a sweet 27,000 tree sugar house and enjoyed learning a bunch about the sugar house and it's operations while there.  Lot's of games, garden tour, and blueberry picking.

So much fun!

Football Training Camp

 It's a treat to have all my guys home. We went to Patriots Stadium to watch a joint practice between the Patriots and the Commanders. It was packed - but we could see well where we ended up.

We were in the shade of this tree...there are two football teams out on that double field. SO ManY People.

We saw Jason Tatum.  on the Sidelines. 

Adley was excited to see lots of people out there. I probably need to join Snap Chat to get better pics of the 'famous' people from him. :)

VT Adventure

 We had such a WONDERFUL VT adventure.

We went up to Dad's on Friday Night - enjoyed a fire pit.

On Saturday we went to Crystal Lake for the day - enjoyed swimming - charcoal BBQ Lunch - and yard games. The place is so beautiful and looks just like it did when I was a kid. (except the bath house isn't brown it's been painted nice. :) )

Then Sunday off to Lake Willoughby - to the Camp Ma'Nunc' Francis Organized.  So fun to have breakfast with the aunts & uncles, cousins and their kids. It was a bit rainy so we enjoyed some card games that morning.  The lake was quite choppy but we went for a kayak ride Sunday evening.  Played so many fun games.

On Monday we did a morning kayak while my big guys hiked Mount Hor. That afternoon swimming and cribbage and fun. Surprisingly many restaurants are closed on Monday in the Willoughby area - so we walked to the local quick shop and enjoyed their yummy sandwiches for dinner.

On Tuesday Me, Memere & Papa King swam at the North Beach of Willoughby while my big guys hiked Pisgah.

Then back home.
