Weekend at Grampies!

We had a great trip up to Grampies!  We arrived Friday evening for a chat around the campfire.  Saturday morning we set up the trampoline!  So Much Fun!  We took a walk in the woods, went swimming at Willoughby, took out some pizza and enjoyed smores in the campfire in the back yard.  Sunday more trampoline, a walk down the road and black berry picking.

For lunch we went to Aunt Elaine's and got to spend time with the whole family.  It was great to see everyone again.

Dr. Appointments - boy have we grown!

So today was the April B-day check-ups....yah at the end of August...mom did a bad job calling at a reasonable time. :)

Jeremiah is 52 inches tall, in the 92%.  He grew 4 inches this year!!!  He is 1 inch taller than Nathanael at 7, and 2 1/2 inches taller than Adley at 7.  Jeremiah is 61 lbs, in the 81%.  He gained 9 lbs. this year!!!  He weighs 10 lbs more than Nathanael at 7, and 7lbs more than Adley at 7.

Nathanael is 58 inches tall in the 87%.  He grew 3 1/2 inches this year.  He is 2 inches taller than Adley at 10.  He weighs 85 lbs.  He gained 15 lbs this year.  He weighs 9 lbs more than Adley at 10.

Wow, wow, wow.

Granted these guys have a bit of a head start on next year...but the stats are fun.

On a side note - our back porch is fun and great for ice cream after dinner!

Yesterday was a Six Flags Day!

We had SOOOOO Much fun!
We rode many roller coasters, all day long.  We rode bumper cars, we rode swings. 

This last swing Jeremiah wanted to keep riding and riding.  He's the blury buddy between the 2 red legs of the ride behind.

Adley's Birthday Party Fun!!!

Well, when a birthday party starts at 3:30 - there is a lot of time in a day - when the weather is a beautiful 75 degrees.  We checked the grapes - and they are ready to harvest.  (Friday we'll come back with some buckets - to pick for grape juice only...that's what the boys like....can it in quart jars and open it in Nov.)

Adley had 4 buddies over - we went to the pool first.

Powered up with some PIZZA - yes we got a lot.  These guys looked really hungry.  Then we went for a bike ride.

After the bike ride, we had some ice cream sundaes.  YUM.  Then a camp fire, sprinklers, and some star gazing in a telescope.

Two friends went home, and 2 are spending the night.  A movie first then out to the tent for an overnight sleep.

Wow July & August!

Wow, It's been quite a while since an update!

After our week at Camp - We went to visit Uncle Dan at his new house for the 4th of July.  We spent the whole day in the lake, because we LOVE water and it was crazy hot.  The 5th of July we went North to Lake Salem to spend time with Memere & Papa King. A super fun hot day on the lake.

On Friday we got some fishing in!  And some kayaking.  What a BLAST!

We went hiking Mount Cardigan with some friends Saturday July 28th. We love these guys and had a great day for a hike with fun friends.

The next week was Grandma Cousin Camp.  Grandma took us to her VBS - we spent almost the whole week at Uncle Dan's house on the lake.  This is us on the dock coordinating a nerf gun battle. 

Happy Birthday Adley!!  (Dad way rocks as a photographer.)  We had a great day with Memere and Papa King coming for a visit - with a dip in our pool.  That evening we went to a baseball Spinners game.  A crazy thunderstorm came in so we were rained out.  That's OK, we came home and had Adley's request for a treat.  Cherry 7UP with watermelon sherbet and skittles float.  We didn't light candles on it, because Memere already candeled some dunkin donuts this morning.  Not a usual birthday, but he said it was a fun one. 

We are sad that our friends are moving, but in packing up their Uhaul - they let us finish their ice cream half gallons in their front yard.  What a great suppertime.

Sometimes you need to wash it down with the last of the orange juice.  We are going to miss these sweet friends but PA isn't so far.

Tuesday the 14 we went hiking with some friends.  We spent the afternoon at their house, and a crazy rainstorm hit.  The boys were outside in the pool/trampoline and didn't care.  It rained buckets.  We finished the day by finally seeing Incredibles 2.  It was a good one.

Today - another surprising rainy thunderstorm.  Our street flooded more than we've ever seen it.  Look how deep this dude is.  This is the deepest part.

The sun came out - the neighbors brought out chairs - many people chatted. it turned out to be a nice afternoon.  (That and we had no power - so no computer games could be played.)

Wow, that's quite an update....what will the rest of August bring!
