First Picnic lunch!

The boys helped Dad take the tarp off the rink last night.  Now we have a sweet spot for our first picnic lunch.  It's 50 degrees outside and a smidge breezy, but we're having a blast.

Time to siphon the ice rink!

We are master siphoners.  We had 5 tubes sucking water out of the rink.  We had some super rivers - and lots of mud to play in.  We had toy boats enjoying the rivers we made.  What a blast on this 54 degree day.
But just playing beside the rink is never enough.  Nathanael asked for his swim clothes.  Mom said no.
Then when the rink wasn't as deep the boys wanted to walk in it.

Then run in it.
Then swim in it

Then pour buckets of cold water over their heads.

After all this fun the 3 of them soaked in a warm bath.

Extra Special Weekend!!

Wow, what an awesome weekend we had.  It all started Saturday morning with our final basketball game of the season.  We had a blast all season. Then we were off to MaTaunte Andrea's, for a delicious spread of food.  She is the hostess with the mostess.   We played some football outside for a bit, dominoes inside.  It was fun to see everyone, and have soda. :)
Then we were off to the hotel.  We had joining rooms with Memere and Papa King.  First things first we were off to the pool.  We had a blast jumping into the deep end, and warming up in the hot tub.  Then when we were pooped from all that swimming we went up to the room.  We had more snacks from Andrea's party.  It was a great fuel up.  Adley might have went back to the pool, but we did have a big day.  The next day the boys partied in Memere & Papa Kings room for a bit until we went to the pool again.  Then off to breakfast.  These boys had lots of plates of food - it was so delicious.
After that we headed back home.

Happy St. Patrick's Day & Crazy Hair Night!

Wow, we have great hair!!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!  We had a blast at AWANA for crazy hair night.  And since both teams got 1st place at the AWANA games - we got to throw cream pie at our gym coaches.  That was a lot of pie - 23 Sparks & TnTers each got to throw one pie.

Today was a 56 degree day!  We couldn't resist a bit of outdoor fun.

100 Days of School!

I know what you are thinking!!! What only 100?  Well this does not count Co-Op days - and some of our shorter days in there where we didn't do a full Geography.  But none the less, the party was today.  We did LOTS of 100 things.

We made these sweet glasses, we measured how tall 100 Duplos were (taller than mom), and 100 Legos (Jeremiah's nose), we made 100 day of school newspapers, we graphed 100 skittles and ate them, we did 100 exercises in groups of 10.  

Then this afternoon we enjoyed the 44 degree day,and made this sweet snowman up on the dunes near the house, so he's looking in the dinning room window.
