Plum Island - Parker River National Wildlife Refuge

 What a FUN beach day today - with some fabulous birds and comfortable overcast skies!!

This one mile boardwalk trail was fabulous!

There were fun overlooks. There are TONS of birds flying in the sky!!

Adley Birthday!

A new Falcons shirt!  Very exciting.  The youth went to serve at the WISH Project, packing backpacks for kids in need.

We went to a high school graduation party.

They had a mechanical bull.  Go Jeremiah!

Adley got a phone for his birthday!!!

Sunday he had 2 buddies over after church for pizza.  They went 'questing' at BodaBorg.  Then ice cream afternoon back at home.

Friday Bike Ride

 Dave took Friday off. (Wahoo!) and we went for a wonderful bike ride to Old North Bridge on the Narrow Gauge and Reformatory branch trails.

Duct Tape Boat Regatta!!

 Today was another duct tape boat regatta at the pool!  What an adventure as always!

We've got two teams at our table working hard on their boats.

Here is one creation!!

Nathanael's Creation was a little big for the one hour build time, but is on the blocks in lane 5.

And the race is ON!

Nathanael's boat crumpled when the rider entered the boat.

But that didn't stop the rider from swimming to the end.

And grabbing the other two members of the team to swim it back. (Jeremiah is one of the swimmers.)

You can see Adley's boat in the far lane, that sweet girl was light but could not for the life of her paddle that boat anywhere. 

They all had fun though.

Jeremiah Track and Field

 Jeremiah enjoyed a 4 week track and field fun this summer. Tonight was his last evening.

They are working on a 4x100m relay!  Here is the baton pass.  They finished up by running an 800m! Jeremiah did great - 5th place....that's a lot of running!

 We had a great zoo day with friends!  The weather turned out so nice too!

NY Trip

 Wow, so much summer fun!  We've not posted in so long.  But here are the details of our NY super fun trip! Photo's to follow!

Friday the boys wanted to leave EARLY, 6:00am.  We were out of the house at 7:15...not too bad!  We had an easy drive.  Once at the Parson's - the kids biked and enjoyed with all the cousins.  After lunch we went to the town beach. Most kids biked! Friday night we had s'mores and back yard outdoor games.  Rain was schedule over night, so the cousins all slept in the basement.  They really wanted some tenting, but it just didn't work out.

Saturday morning we went to Baxter Mountain - an easy hike in the Adirondack High Peaks. 

What fun, fresh blueberries at the top!  Then we lunched at a river where we could swim, (or be refreshed because it was a crisp mountain stream.)  That afternoon the kids biked to play some tennis, and we grilled dinner in town, followed up by Stewart's Ice Cream Stand.  Saturday night more camp fire fun.

Sunday Grandma had to get Jayden and Owen home.  Us and the Parson's when to church, then put together some lunch to go to another lake with a dock to jump off and playgrounds.  We left for home at 4:00 on Sunday.

What a fun action packed long weekend!
